Woman you got Skills!

Spread the love

Most of us don't know our own value. We got skills we don't think are important or valuable.

I'm talking to the stay at home mother. The homemaker, you sacrifice your career in order to look after the children, nurture and be there for them, providing food and love and stability while running a beautiful  home.

You organise their day to day activities, you ensure they have their lunch, their gym kit, that their homework is completed. You get them to school on time.

You arrange appointments for dentist, GP where appropriate and make sure they get there on time.

You tidy away their mess, wash cook and clean.

You manage the household budget, paying the bills, buying food and all the necessary items that are needed around the house.

When the house is being decorated, you are the one who chooses the colour schemes the fittings and ensure they go in the right places.

When there are arguments and fights between the kids, you are the peacemaker.

You are the organiser amongst other things when there are birthday parties and family get-togethers.

So considering all of the above, let's break it down and see the tangible skill sets in a work place environment for what they are.
You have a great time management skills, you have great organisational skills, you are strategic in your thinking, and you're able to handle a budget. You able to negotiate and are great at facilitating.

You have great project management skills, and able to multitask and work with a team or on your own initiative.

You are a go to person, and you get things done!

You are a leader, you motivate and inspire! You are a great teacher and nurturer.

So the next time you feel that you are not capable of going out there in the real world to get a job that pays well, just look at your transferable skills and take that to the marketplace.
